This week we studied crime topic and I write a report on child abuse. you kinow, I have sometimes to read our newspaper. I was so puzzled when I read a article. It was about a girl who was badly treated by her employer. She had been working for a restaurant since she 12 years old. Her family was so poor that her mother left her at a restaurant to work as a slave. Everyday, she has to wake up from 4 Am and work until 11PM. her owner always kick and punch her. She had to go to hospital by their worst treatment. She was rescued by a good person who lives near the restaurant. This case now being sent to court and her owner have to sentence to jail.

The race that stops the nation!

I went to the Melborune Cup on Tuesday this week too. It was such a perfect day and definitely once in a life time experience for me! I heard that Melborune Cup is well known as the race that stops the nation. Indeed, there were thousands of people who shared the moment together for the races. They were all dressed up beautifully, especially ladies with fantastic hats. It was just fascinating me! I went there with my Japanese friends, and some of them came in theit Yukata, Japanese tradditional costumes. Kuniko was in her Yukata as well! Anyway, it was such a great experience with all the excitments I had at the race which I wouldnt have in Japan!!

Melbourne Cup day

Tuesday this week was a big festival of Melbourne. I was happy to have a day off and went to city to enjoy such a fantastic festival.
The weather was warm and sunny. Most streets were full of people. Girls, ladies looked more attractive by lovely, colourful long dress with different hat styles. That so beautiful they were! Everyone seemed to be exited of participating the festival.
I was in Federation Square with my friend from 1.30 PM. We were all eager to see the Horse racing- one of the most fantastic activity in the Festival. We have also bet some money on racing horses, but we have lost.
Neverthless, for me, it was the first time I came here, so I fell the festival is so impressive and enjoyable festival. It is the festival of fashion, exiting activities.

Parties

I have many parties recently. This is because one of my friends really likes having a party, and he always asks me' When is next party?'. The last party I had is Halloween party! Halloween is not common here? Anyway I cooked lots of foods with my friends and really enjoyed. Of course we prepared a pumpkin for this party! I'm going to have a kind of party on the night club this weekend. If you are free, just call me!

Before Sunrise; Before Sunset.

"Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" are two of my favorite movies. Each of them just takes you less than two hours to watch. You can learn many graceful English lines from the two movies.

michelle/what I miss from home!

For years, in France where I come from, I used to spend hours and hours reading my newspaper and studying in cafes. Either sipping a nice coffee, tea or a glass of wine, it was just so relaxing and such a great source of inspiration everytime I wanted to relax or simply write.
Here, you just have time to drink your coffee or tea and as soon as your cup is empty you have to leave the place.... I really feel frustated about it.

Accommodation is Melbourne

Hi everyone.

Currently, I'm staying with my wife at homestay. It's really very nice one. However, we would like to move to a house or unit. Through our searching, we've found it very difficult to find good one with a reasonable rent. Also, it's getting more expensive in Melbourne.

So, I would like to know if you've experinced the same, tell me please.

Also if you're looking for a homestay, the one I'm staying now with is very nice. So, if you want tell me, so I can arrange for you.

Cheers

Hussain

Excursion

Does anyone want to tell me about the excursion and the ghost in the theatre?

Get Yourself to KNOW more about The Australia Customs

Probably all of us are aware how strict the Australia Customs is, therefore, we need to know more about the regulations of the customs. Here we are, there is a programe called Boarder Security on channel 7 every Monday at 7:30. It shows a lot of rules about the Australian Customs and is very useful. Sometimes, it also can be very interesting about what is happening to those passengers. If you are interested in this, don't let it slip away!

St.Kilda beach!

Hi, It's Cynthia. For last weekend, I went to St. Kilda beach on Sunday for the first time. It was such a PERFECT day ,which the temperature went up to 32 degrees, for going to the beach. I noticed that I was tunned a little bit when I got home from the beach!
Hi everyone,

I just want to say hello with all of you. Have a lovely evening and nice weekend!

What I have learnt this week

This week I have learnt what is the difference between defining and non-defining relative clauses. This is very helpful on writing English essays.

Great Ocean Road

On October 13, there was Muslim Celebration (Eid Al-Fitr) which is like Christmas for Christians.

We normally celebrate that festival in Sauid Arabi with Family and Friends. However, this year because I had to come before it to start English course. I decided to meet my Saudi friend in a Park and wore the Saudi dress to feel as I was in Saudi Arabia.
Then, I decided to go with my wife to Great Ocean Road and stayed 2 nights there in a resort.

It was a wonderful weekend, we really could forget our fesitval in Saudi Arabia. If we didn't do that, we would be upset.

The place is really fantastic and 2 nights were not enough to explore it.

Clint has been here already!

Hi David and everyone! Clint is here! Just let you know! I've visited this blog! lol``!

Prison Break Season 3

The Prison Break Season3 is on TV on Channel 9 every Wednesday at 9p.m.
Watching that drama will be a great help to improve your listening skills as well as your speaking skills because you will know how to speak differently depending on the situations.
If you want to download season1 or 2, I can give you files. Also you can download on the some websites. Anyway don't miss the great chance to improve your English!!

Weeks Reflections

Reflect on the week. Think of what you have learned, the topics, the language skills, perhaps what you have found difficult. You could write about resources you found useful. You could mention interesting TV shows, reports you saw, or interesting articles you read. Maybe, you could talk about an example of when you used English outside the class, in a shop or at the real estate agent. What were the problems or successes? Write a post.
